H-II: Shirin Ebadi, Human Rights Attorney, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, will represent family of Neda.

In a report from Al Jazeera news:

Shirin Ebadi, a prominent Iranian human rights lawyer and Nobel peace prize winner, has told Al Jazeera that she is prepared to represent the family of a young woman shot dead during a protest in Tehran... Ebadi, who has represented political prisoners and victims of human rights violations for more than 20 years, said that the actions of the police and pro-government militias violated the human rights convention. -- Iran's Neda killing 'was illegal': Al Jazeera News, 24 June 2009.

Shirin Ebadi
, was recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize 2003 "for her efforts for democracy and human rights. She has focused especially on the struggle for the rights of women and children."  Ms Ebadi presented on women's rights in Muslim countries at the Nobel Peace Center in October 2006.

All UN Member Countries Asked to Support Human Rights Efforts

International outrage associated with the killing of Neda Agha Soltan has permeated the global landscape.  Efforts to address these violations in Iran, have now opened the door for intensive efforts to address human rights violations and need for emergency humanitarian assistance in every UN member country:
